It's Sunday noon again, 12 o'clock and it's time for Sunday music again. And when it's a bit like spring, I just can't stop myself. And then the favourites of music tones break through me again. And who knows me for a while knows that I feel most comfortable in the genre country. And that's why there is a very special story that I wrote today. And I have to send out a little something. Because with us you can't imagine what will be sung here. And that's why I want to give the blind listeners the opportunity to dive as deep into the picture as everyone else. In the south of the USA, especially in Georgia and Alabama, there are a lot of red clay floors. Clay in English is clay. And that's a term we'll hear more often in this song. And when animals walk over this clay floor, there are always clay footprints. And surely one or the other knows an animal with whom he had a relationship for many, many years. And it's exactly about such a man that today's song in Sunday music is about. With the title "Run Red Run". Whereby here "Red" is the name of the dog the singer remembers. Have fun dreaming of singing sun for a few minutes and this very specific smell that only red clay can create. [Music] Schultze IT-Schooling & Service. He'd trail me home like a shadow with a heart. He knew my boots by the scrape on the floor. Knew my truck before the engine would roar. When I said, "Boy, he was already there." Tail beating time in the open air. Run, red run, run, red run. You were my right hand. Run, red run, run, red run. Across this good red land. You kept my ears from falling apart. Now you're sweeping the clover way down in my heart. We found lost calves in the winter rain. Slept by the stove when the wind cut plain. You ate from my hand. Then you'd guard my chair. Never asked for much just to know I was there. Then your steps got slow on that last long mile. But you still lit up when you saw me smile. I held your head as the night came low. And you wagged once more before you'd go. Run, red run, run, red run. You were my right hand. Run, red run, run, red run. Across this good red land. You kept my ears from falling apart. Now you're sweeping the clover way down in my heart. There's a spot by the fence where the honeysuckle leaves. I still half expect to hear your chain and beans. But the house feels kinder when I say your name. 'Cause a love like yours don't ever go away. Run, red run, run, red run. You were my right hand. Run, red run, run, red run. Across this good red land. You kept my ears from falling apart. Now you're sweeping the clover way down in my heart. 'Til I'm home at last. Run, red run, run, red run. A friend built to last.
